Cari Allison is
honored to be the Wisconsin Marketing and Management Association's
2007-2008 State President. She has been a member of WMMA for 3 years
during which she has served as the chapter Vice President of
Communications and President of Waukesha Country Technical College.
Cari is majoring in Marketing and Retail Management. She currently is a
dance instructor for Mirror Image Dance Academy. Outside of school and
work, some of Cari’s favorite hobbies are spending time with her family
and dancing. Her dream is to open up her own dance studio for children
and adults.
Cari truly believes in this organization and couldn't be happier to
be serving all of you, the members of the Wisconsin Marketing and
Management Association. If at any time there is any member that would

Debra Kaster

Debra Kaster Is 07-08 WMMA Executive Vice
President State Officer. She is currently attending Northeast Wisconsin
Technical College in Green Bay, WI. Debra Is enrolled In the Marketing
Program. Upon graduating Debra will be going on for her BA in Business
Administration. Debra joined WMMA to gain business experience to be a
successful businessperson.
Debra designed,
general contracted, owns and operates her own car wash currently, while
being a full-time student, wife and mother. Debra has been an
entrepreneur for the past 7 years. Debra hobbies are knitting,
crocheting, painting and drawing, gardening, horses, fishing, hunting
and trap shooting. .Debra's goal is she wants when she grow up is to
become a CEO of an Architectural firm in the local area.
Debra is the oldest of 6 children; she has three brothers, two sisters.
Her parents celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary in October of 2007.
Debra is the mother of 5 children, Joshua, Joseph, Jason, Dillon, &
Dereck and grandmother of 2 children, Connor and Jacob. Her husband,
Brian, two youngest children, Dillon and Dereck, and herself live in
Pulaski, WI on 138 acre farm they want to turn into a Therapeutic Riding
Center for the Handicapped.
Nicole Smart

Nicole Smart is a 26
year old single mother who is currently working part time and attending
Gateway Technical College full time in the Marketing program. She
started school to be able to provide a stable life for herself and her
son and in the process has discovered more about herself then she
thought she would. The beginning was when her advisor John Gauthier
introduced her to DEX. Her becoming part of this group and finding
herself doing things a few years ago she hadn’t thought possible of
herself has brought her to a point in her life where she is extremely
proud of what she has accomplished and eagerly anticipating her future.
The best part for her is sharing with her son the things she is doing
and feeling like she can now set an example to him. Showing him that if
you work hard enough and put your mind to it there is nothing you can’t
accomplish. Becoming WMMA’s 2007/2008 State Secretary is something that
Nicole is very proud of and looks forward to be able to use her position
to encourage others to participate in an organization that has propelled
her to where she is today and can do the same for them.
Zachary Dowell

Zachary Dowell is
very humbled to be your 2007-2008 Vice President of Communications. He
chose to run for an office position because he felt he could be a leader
and provide inspiration to members from all areas of the state of
Wisconsin. Keeping up the state organization website and rejuvenating
it, keeping everyone together in a tight knit circle, keeping everyone
involved and on the same page, that’s what Zachary is about.
Born in Colorado, raised all over the world, Zachary has been to many
countries and experienced many cultures. None of those even come close
to resembling the culture that is WMMA. Currently attending Western
Technical College in La Crosse, Wisconsin, he will graduate with his
associate’s degree in marketing this December and with his Bachelor’s
degree in Marketing in the spring of 2010.
Rebecca Eby ~ Parliamentarian

Rebecca Eby is
excited to be your 2007-2008 WMMA Parliamentarian. She joined WMMA to
network and become more involved in her college, MATC Madison. She
graduated from MATC with her associate’s degree in Real Estate last May
and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from UW Platteville. Rebecca is employed by The
Title Company in La Crosse. She was married three weeks ago and
currently lives in Gays Mills, WI.
Some of the things Rebecca enjoys most are photography, karaoke,
traveling, and cooking. Some accomplishments she is most proud of are
earning her Real Estate Broker’s license, and serving as a radar
technician in the US Navy for five years. Roger Venden is her advisor,
and she would like to thank him for his support and the “push” it took
to get her to join WMMA. She has experienced so much in this great
organization. Thanks, Rog!
Rebecca Klopp ~ Southern Region Vice President

Rebecca Klopp is
proud to be the 2007/2008 WMMA/ΔEX Southern Region Vice President.
Rebecca recently graduated from Waukesha County Technical College with
an Associate’s in Marketing. Rebecca plans on attending Cardinal
Stritch in the winter 2008 to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Management and a licensure to teach. Rebecca’s dream is to be able to
teach on the college level and one day be a WMMA advisor and inspire a
new generation of WMMA students.
Rebecca is currently working for a financial advisor and is working on
getting securities and insurance licensed. Rebecca is also a proud wife
and mother of a 2 year old daughter, who is the absolute joy of her
life.
Rebecca looks forward to working with all of you this year and wishes
you the best of luck in all of your adventures!
Eric Phillips ~ North Eastern Region Vice President

Eric Phillips is the
2007-2008 Northeast Vice President. He currently attends Northeast
Wisconsin Technical College in Green bay. He has a degree in Marketing
from NWTC and is planning to graduate in December from the Retail
Management Program. He joined WMMA to get hands on experience and use
the knowledge he has gained form the classroom as well as the ability to
work on communication skills.
Eric currently lives with him Mom Julie and Sister Jenny in Green Bay.
Eric currently works for TradeHome Shoes as an Asst. Manager. Eric Also
has a few other part time jobs he works for the packers an Ice Hockey
Official. After Eric Graduates College he is planning to move to
Florida to pursue a career.
When he is not in school or at work Eric loves to Ice Skate, Travel as
well as hang out with his friends.
Dan Krauss ~ Western Region Vice President

Daniel Krauss is proud to be
serving as your 2007-2008 Western Region Vice President for the
Wisconsin Marketing and Management Association. Currently attending
Western Technical College for Human Resources, Dan is most excited about
the time he gets to spend with WMMA.
Dan has two older brothers, a younger sister, and a beautiful niece.
Excited about camping, bowling, and reading, Dan also enjoys being able
to spend time with friends, and meeting new people.
Dan chose to take a State Action Team position so that he could make a
difference in an organization that he cares about very deeply.
Steve Gifford ~ Publications Director

Steven R. Gifford is
proud to serve as your 2007-2008 WMMA Publications Director. He is also
a loving father of three boys, a supportive husband, and a compassionate
coach. He has been married for seven years to the love of his life,
Jolene Marie. During the summer and fall he coaches a youth football
team through the Racine Youth Sports organization. His team philosophy
is not to win, but to play as hard as you can and be proud of who you
are. He emphasizes sportsmanship instead of touchdowns which is why his
team has never cared what the scoreboard said.
Steven has been involved with WMMA for many years. He began as a
supporter when his wife joined in 2003 and became a member himself in
the spring of 2006. He has competed the last two years and learned a
wealth of information about himself in doing so.
Steven is currently attending Gateway Technical College on the Kenosha
campus. He is working to achieve degrees in both Consumer and
Business-to-Business Marketing. Steven also hopes to own his own
marketing and promotions firm at the completion of his degrees.
